Finally! An economical choice for that decorative, yet powerful pond fountain that will add to the health and beauty of your pond. Perfect for development projects and corporate office ponds that want the impressive beauty of a tall fountain, while saving thousands of dollars in the budget! This unit comes with a 100' electric cord with standard 110v. plugs. This unit can easily be adapted to existing 230volt control boxes. Longer custom lengths are also available. The Geyser Fountain is large enough to maintain oxygen levels in fish ponds and keep water quality high throughout the year by destratifying water over the bottom sediments. Fish ponds over 8 feet deep can add a draw-tube attachment to reach near bottom of water column. Other fountains can't be customized to meet the needs of deeper ponds. Minimum operating depth for this high-powered floating fountain is six feet of water. All maintenance and replacement parts and service available througth the WaterSmith Division of Freshwater Farms of Ohio, Inc. Please contact us with any questions.
Decades of experience with ponds and pond equipment has produced this new approach to utilizing two 1-hp axial flow pumps with 3" ports, with convenient cam-lock disconnect, stainless steel handle for easy transport, and heavy duty intake screens. The pumps are rated for continuous duty, not like short-term use sump or well pumps sold in cheaper units. The fountain style used in a "Geyser" water spray pattern is 8-10 feet wide and over 20-22 feet high! Our fountain head uses heavy-duty schedule 80 fittings, not like other 'home-made' fountains. Limited one year warranty on pump from manufacturer. All other parts carry a 3-year warranty, and discounted replacements for pump units are available for our fountain customers.
IMPORTANT CONSUMER INFORMATION!
After reviewing some of our competitors listings for pond and lake fountains, we have unfortunately discovered that some sellers are at best misrepresenting the performance (flow rates) of their pumps and in one instance seriously misleading customers. When figuring the flow rate for a fountain, one can not just look at the maximum output listed on the pump, because a fountain pattern is operating with much higher backpressure, usually cutting pump performance by half or much more. The twin 1-hp pumps on our Geyser Fountain, for example, is rated up to 21000 gallons per hour (gph), yet in the displayed configuration we actually tested the flow rate to be approx. 10000 gph. When you remove the nozzle, you get a much increased amount of water flow (with much smaller display), nearing the max output.
Flow rate in a fountain is quite important for the health of the pond because it shows how much circulation is occurring and can be an indicator of how much aeration (dissolved oxygen in the water) is being accomplished.
